Communication & Team issues

Open and honest communication between coaches and athletes about these decisions and any other team-related issues is encouraged. If an issue does arise the following steps are to be followed:
Step 1: The athlete speaks to the coach. If the issue is not resolved move to Step 2.
Step 2: Parents may request a meeting with the coach, but must adhere to the following guidelines:
Timing: Requests should not be made during competitions.
24-Hour Rule: Wait 24 hours from the onset of the issue before requesting a meeting.
Meeting Format: Meetings should be conducted in person. Use email or text only to request a meeting.
Reflection Period: Allow coaches time to reflect on the issue before expecting a response.

Evergreen Athletes encourages open communication and problem-solving to address concerns and conflicts. The following steps outline the dispute resolution process:
Step 1: Informal Resolution The parties involved should attempt to resolve the issue through direct and respectful communication (as written above).
Step 2: Mediation If informal resolution is unsuccessful, the club may offer mediation services to facilitate a mutually agreeable resolution.
Step 3: Formal Review If mediation is unsuccessful, the matter may be referred to the club executive committee for review and decision-making.
